How do I log into my account?

How can I retrieve my password?

If you forgot or lost your password please visit password page. Once you have entered the matching email address, instructions to reset your password will be emailed to you. Please be sure to check your spam and bulk folders if you do not receive your instructions immediately.

How do I change my password?

Billing Issues

How can I find my receipt number?

Each time you submit your payment, you will receive an email containing your receipt/order number. You can retrieve your receipt/order number by simply referring back to the email you received upon purchasing, or by going to the My Account Page in the member's area. The receipt/order number will be displayed in the "Order History" section.

How will my charge appear on my credit card?

Your statement will show a charge from INFOTRACER.COM or INFOTRACER.

Will I receive a purchase confirmation email?

Yes. You will receive an email from the support department of InfoTracer Business outlining your purchase details.

How can I update my credit card information?

Please visit the My Account Page to update your credit card information.

Is InfoTracer Business a subscription based service?

No. InfoTracer Business is not a subscription based service and has no additional monthly fees. InfoTracer Business allows our customers to view reports à la carte as necessary. There is no obligation to pay every month for InfoTracer Business Membership.

Do I need to purchase additional reports to be an InfoTracer Business Member?

No. Additional reports are completely optional. They are there in the event that you would like to access more information. You do not need to purchase anything additional to remain an InfoTracer Business Member.

Why can't I find any information?

How accurate is your data?

InfoTracer is a provider of information gathered from publicly available data. InfoTracer does not create, verify, or guarantee the accuracy of such data; rather, InfoTracer receives its information from various sources, including Internet sites. It is not necessarily affiliated with or endorsed by these sources, or compensated by them. All materials and information available through InfoTracer services are provided "as is" and "as available," and without warranties of any kind, express or implied, and specifically including the warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.

What categories and reports are available to search?

What countries does your website cover?

You will be able to look-up information about people in the United States - we have the most databases and data centers available for the US.

Criminal Records

How do I interpret the criminal search results?

While our Criminal Searches can yield useful information, please use extreme caution in interpreting the results of any criminal background search. A positive match does not guarantee the nature or even existence of an individual's criminal record. InfoTracer is not responsible for explaining or analyzing Criminal Search results. For assistance in interpreting criminal records and other official documents, please contact a competent legal professional.

In which US states can I search criminal records?

Some states do not permit access to certain types of criminal records, or restrict the types of information that may be retrieved by a criminal search. As a result, not all searches will return reports or records. Please refer to our Data Coverage page for a state by state guide to available records.

Can your data be used for employment checks?

InfoTracer is not a "consumer reporting agency" as defined under the Fair Credit Reporting Act ("FCRA"), 15 U.S.C. § 1681 et seq., as amended, and the Data or other information in our databases has not been collected in whole or in part for the purpose of furnishing "consumer reports", as defined by the FCRA. Rather, the Data or other information has been obtained by us as a result of being publicly available to us for our possession, use and dissemination, and the Services and Data are not intended or expected to be used to (a) establish a consumer's eligibility for personal credit or insurance; (b) assess risks associated with existing consumer credit obligations; or (c) evaluate an individual for employment, promotion, reassignment or retention (including employment of household workers such a nannies, housekeepers, or contractors) or in conjunction with assessing the merits of entering into any other personal business transaction with another individual.

Examples of unlawful purposes include, but are not limited to: stalking or harassing any individual; requesting information under false pretenses; determining the credit worthiness or eligibility of any individual; employment screening; licensing eligibility and any other purpose covered by the Fair Credit Reporting Act.

Privacy

What type of information do you collect?

When you use InfoTracer, we will not collect any personally identifiable information about you unless you choose to provide such information to us.

If you choose to purchase InfoTracer products or services, we will ask you to provide certain personally identifiable information such as your name and email address, as well as credit card or other payment information and a billing address. We use this information as required to provide you with the InfoTracer products or services you have requested.

We do not directly collect or store any personal financial information provided in connection with your purchase of InfoTracer products or services. All personal financial information required to complete your purchase (such as your credit card number) will be provided to and/or collected by a third party vendor who will process payments and complete transactions.

Do You Provide Hard Copies?

Do you mail hard copies of my report?

No. All search results are displayed electronically after which you can either print or download the reports.
